Worship & Prayer Ministries
Worship is at the core of the Christian Life. We worship as we recognize God as the Creator of our Cosmos -- we lift our voices to declare God's greatness in the World and in our lives. At Glendora Community Church we do this through a variety of means:
- Music and song is central to us, just as it was for the people in the Bible;
- We believe not only in reading Scripture, but in hearing it as well -- therefore public Bible Reading is a part of virtually every Worship Service;
- We pray as part of worship -- proclaiming God's goodness and love, but also confessing our needs and asking for God's grace in our lives and the lives of those who are our neighbors and friends;
- We feature dramatic arts from time to time, and use visual media as well, so that the story of God's love for us can be told again and again as part of our worship.
The Worship Arts department of Glendora Community Church offers five places where people in our congregation can serve their church. Praise Choir, Sound Arts, Visual Arts, and Instrumental Arts. If you have an interest in serving in one of these areas you will find information and people to contact listed below. Thank you so much for you interest. You will find great fulfillment in serving your community.
