Our Mission Statement:
Our purpose is to offer young men the
opportunity
to learn lessons for life.
We will do this by providing
programs
in the Scout
method that develop the
young man through learning to live by
the spirit of
the Scout Oath and Law.
We will present the
adventure of the
great outdoors
and encourage and
challenge
personal growth, achievement
and
successes while developing the
leaders of
tomorrow.
Our Troop 489 Goal is to offer young men
the
opportunity to grow, experience the
adventure of
the great outdoors
doing
things that they might not
otherwise get
exposure to and to encourage
their
advancement through the Boy Scout
Program
to
develop leaders of tomorrow
with the confidence,
personal successes
and
the opportunity to earn the
Eagle
Scout Badge
with all the rights and privileges
associated with this lifelong achievement.
Our door is open to families that wish to
share in our
dreams and aspirations and
help us to offer the young men of today
good choices and experiences.
